Nice machining, no flat for tightening

Not sure if they don't tighten things up in China, but this did not come with the flat shown in the photo (after looking at photo more closely I see what I thought was a flat is actually a shadow). 3/4" NPT needs a bit more than hand tight and should have a flat or internal hex.

  • Potential Leaks: The connection between the tri clamp and NPT male thread may not be completely secure, which could result in leaks and spillage of liquids and gases

false advertisement! beware!

the diameter is not for 1 1/2" as stated in the description the diameter is for 2" back to square one for me. This product may not be readily available at all times or in all locations, which could make it difficult to obtain when needed!

Packaging and finish excellent.

I don't do many reviews especially for a fitting or product like this. But, this fitting came beautifully packed with a plastic protector on it. The Finish was perfect. The threads were clean and it was obviously a point of Pride by the manufacturer to protect it and make it look excellent. Fit my application perfectly. But definitely by again.

  • As advertised. Fit my fermenter’s ball valve and 1.5" tri clamp.
Cons
  • Prone to Corrosion: Although made from SS304 stainless steel, this adaptor can still be vulnerable to corrosion over time, especially when exposed to harsh environmental conditions or corrosive liquids
