Smoother ride with them

Ideal for beaches and washboards. They remove the sting from the choppers. If you drive in the sand a lot or hit the fenders at high speed, it's worth the money.

Pros
  • Increases cargo capacity
Cons
  • Functionality

Works best in bumpers

They were a little more expensive than they are, but they are well made and do the job well. A lot less investment than the King hydraulic fenders I have up front, although it's a completely different technology and awesome.

Pros
  • 2500 (lbs) Strength at 50% Compression
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Best solution!: Shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Everything I expected! Easy installation. couldn't be easier. They definitely replaced the OEM, only longer and with better material. I'm towing a 5x8 cargo trailer picking up rocks in the outback and my JK drives great. I don't think it was really necessary, but I smeared some RTV/silicone onto the mounting plate. I'm a little bit anal.

Pros
  • Maintenance-free
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Sumo Springs - Jeep JKU 2012

Seriously, very easy replacement. They literally reach out and push out the old stock. To install sumo nibs, use some soapy water in a spray bottle and apply it to the top of the nib and the inside of the cavity you intend to put it in. It may take a little force to push it out. in, but it's really not that bad. Just got back from the Uharri National Forest Jeep Trail. I'd like to think it was important. :-) See photos for reference.

Pros
  • Reduces and stabilizes rocking
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Smoother ride with replacement parts

A little tricky to install but they work great! Raise the body, place a brace (I bolted several 2x4 blocks together) over the fender panel, place the sumo on the blocks under the fender bracket, then lower the body onto the sumo and it will snap into place. Be sure to use lube as well. Significantly smoother handling when driving fast on bumpy trails or driving down a cliff compared to the factory bump stop. Much cheaper than hydraulic fenders. Although, of course, they are a bit expensive for…
