Great add-on for Tacoma

Installed on 2015 Tacoma Double Cab. I'm loading a truck with about 500 pounds. + - Goods for camping. I have a Lear Topper and a T@B Teardrop Trailer. SUMO springs (1000lb) keep the rear of the truck level for a great ride and eliminate most of the sway. I am 72 years old and did the install myself using a jack and a very good scissor jack. Use a 54mm torque wrench on the U-bolts. Check torque after 500 miles. I wish I had installed SUMO springs a few years ago. Good price, great guarantee…

I believe in better shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I was skeptical at first, I figured the ride quality would be sacrificed and I wasn't sure how well the material would hold up, but wow. I keep a heavy tool box in my bed and I've never noticed how much it's sagging my butt. When the Sumo springs were installed, the tail stayed about 2 inches above stock height and stayed there. Ride quality was a bit bumpy and harsh for the first 1000 miles and continued to smooth out over time. I also adjusted a rear anti-roll bar to a soft setting, this…

Great Alternative to Air Springs

I am towing a trailer with our 2010 Nissan Frontier. I bought these because even with the weight distribution hitch the rear of the truck seemed to be sagging too much. I think it's the age of the car. Instead of replacing the leaf springs, I decided to purchase and install these SumoSprings. I'm glad I did. While these aren't the easiest of things to install, they're also not beyond the skill of a person with tool skills (if the person has the necessary tools to turn on the torque wrench and…

Expensive but worth it

I installed them on a 14 year old Tacoma 4X4. I used to have air suspension with Timbren bumpers as a backup. After 13 years the airbags were leaking so I removed them and left the Timbren fenders. Then I received several new rear leaf springs for free through the Toyota TSB program. Unfortunately, this lowered the back of my truck by almost two inches. I removed Timbren fenders in front of the TSB on the recommendation of a service advisor. I tried reinstalling the timbres but they barely…

Just what my 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro needs

So far they've worked great and I see no reason to expect that to change any time soon. Easy installation so I won't go into detail. It literally took about 30 minutes to install both. I will explain the pertinent details that make this product so great for my pickup truck. Factory settings, no load, I was 36.5 inches from floor to center of outside edge of rear wheel arches. When I put 420 pounds on the tongue, the pickup sat at 35 inches. With the SSR-610-40 SumoSprings installed, the…

Changed handling of my old 2006 Nissan Frontier truck model tractor

I installed them on a 2006 Nissan Frontier to improve problems with squatting with loads on the back and towing. I chose them because I installed and forgot about this type of theme. I preferred them to airbags, and I chose them hoping to get enough towing improvement to not need a hitch to distribute the weight when towing a +/- 4500lb trailer. . I know that my trailer's weight is almost the same as it was when it was installed and that suspension upgrades are not a solution that WDH can…

I am very happy. for parts

I waited a bit before writing this review. At first I didn't like these. But now I really like her. Installation on my 2016 was easy. Loosen the U-bolts, remove the factory fender, install the sumo spring mounting plate, tighten the U-bolts. I found the torque for the 2016 Tacoma rear axle bolts online. That's 52 ft.lb. I dressed mine to 58. After installing the bracket, bolt the sumo spring to the bracket using the included blue loctite and drill a fair amount of holes in the sumo spring…
