When I turn the knob to lock it, a small hook pops out. But if you then turn it the other way to pull the hook back, you can't turn it.

Works well for a sliding door but doesn't close very well. We added an extra lock to the door for privacy, but the handle itself is nice and sturdy.

The Builder lock failed after 20 years and no suitable replacement was commercially available. This fits perfectly into the existing bore, along with optional wear parts.

I bought 4 and that was too much, they can be installed backwards so I had to take them apart to swap the faces, also the pins inside are slipping out, I had to use tape, there are better options my opinion

My door is exactly 1 3/4" thick. In the attached photo you can see that it doesn't cover the room far. I'm giving it 3 stars as it's a very good door handle, but it was wrongly labeled as suitable for a 1 3/4 inch thick door.

When you open the box for the first time, it looks good. As you begin the installation process, the paint will begin to chip. The locking mechanism then works to lock you in, but you can't open it unless someone picks the lock from the other side. We need to take it off now so nobody gets stuck in the bathroom.

High quality replacement for old door hardware. They took a little fiddling to get the locks working. In the end we just gave up as nobody in our house uses pocket door locks. Pros: The fork is fairly compatible with the 20 year old units we removed. Looks great. Cons: The lock could not be made to work stably.
