Not sure who picks the hoses on these things but they should be fired. I'm not sure where they come from, but as far as I know a garden hose thread is a garden hose thread. Why on earth would they sell threaded pipe hose with that? The bowl seems fine after spending another $20 on a general purpose stainless steel dishwasher hose. This is a household appliance, but equipped with a garden hose thread. Stupid and waste of money.

Works like a charm instantly. I ordered two and one had to adjust the float to get the water level closer to the top - very easy to do. Good but smaller than expected. The hose worked fine without the bib adapter. I have five dogs and I have one puppy. That means a lot of changes to the water bowl. Do I need an automatic water bowl? Maybe not, but at least I don't have to worry about it being knocked over. The description refers to a hose thread on one end and an unsafe thread on the other to match the drinker.
