This is exactly what I was looking for. It is well made and durable. He does what he has to do. I like stainless steel. The filter works very well and fits very well. I am very happy with it.

I love this grease container! I didn't really pay attention to the size of this container when I ordered it, I just knew I wanted it so I was really surprised by its size. It will have a lot of bacon fat or bacon nectar lol.

When I looked at the strainer I thought at first it wouldn't work because of the tiny holes that are even hard to see. So tested it with running water and yes it didn't strain all the water and left a few tablespoons of water in the strainer. I later thought of trying butter and boom, it really WORKS. The last drop of oil has been drained. This means it's doing what it's supposed to do.

Came with a scratched lid. Definitely cheaply made, made in China with Chinese letters on the box, but enough for throwing away the lube. But the part of the strainer appears too small when you want to separate cooking oil and food pieces. If you want something cheap then this is it, but if you want something more reliable and higher quality then don't buy it.

This grease saver has become a welcome addition to the kitchen. I love saving bacon grease and using it for seasoning and such, but it was hard to strain and keep fresh. The built-in filter is easy to use and clean, and the jar fits well in the fridge. I can easily melt the contents by placing them on my glass plate to keep warm. I like that it's made of stainless steel. My grandmother's oiler was aluminum and I find it to be healthier and cleaner. Well made and user friendly. I recommend.

So the materials are pretty skimpy but for what it's for it's ok. Stainless steel, easy to clean and useful. However, when we store lard, we want it to last as long as possible, right? This thing isn't even remotely airtight. There is a fairly large gap between the strainer and the container and another gap, albeit a little smaller, between the strainer and the lid.
