Electric Water Transfer Pump - 1.6 HP Stainless Steel Shallow Well Garden Lawn Sprinkling Pump for Irrigation and Booster Review

We bought this pump for a solar system for our pool. It's doing its job really well, pumping water into the solar system. We have a timer that activates six times a day. It sends at least 25 feet of water out of the pool into the solar system.

We collect rainwater from the roof to water the garden. This pump has more pressure than our outdoor faucets. It comes in a sturdy, thick box with lots of adapters. The PVC fittings I used from the tank to the pump I bought from Home Depot. Lowes also sells them. You will not be disappointed with this pump.

Every product has a lemon and it seems we have a lemon. It must draw at least 20 feet of water vertically. It draws no water 2'. It looks like it has some kind of internal faulty part as it was creating a lot of bubbles when trying to draw water from a 5 gallon bucket of water which we tried to test after there was no water from the place where we fit. Other reviews say it's great. Would like one if it works.

I recently bought one of these to solve a low hose pressure problem. Difficult to fill and low pressure of 36psi despite trying different settings. No leaks, all connections taped, pump was next to my 2000 gallon water tank. This pump cannot operate both impact and impact sprinklers at the same time. I will not pay to ship this pump back to China. Yes, I even washed it to remove all the junk. $100 wasted

Pump severely underpowered. Compared to my 1hp Utilitec pump, the 1hp pump was two to three times more powerful. I doubt this pump is as strong as advertised. I'm not sure how these products are rated and how they determined it was a 1.6hp pump, but it had almost no power. We used a tank bleed pump to pressurize the pump so the unit had to be easy to use. I would shudder to think how it would draw from the deep and actually work.

I have ten 55 gallon rain barrels that I use to water my lawn and veg and it works great and feeds sprinklers 200 feet away! To be honest I think it delivers more pressure than the water pressure in my house! I have a bad well so I take every opportunity not to use well water! I put a foot valve on the inlet end so it never loses its effectiveness. If I get a chance I'll hardwire it into a pressure switch so that it trips when the water comes out. I wanted to buy a similar product right away, but the savings were worth it. The "hardware" that comes with the kit isn't very strong, so be prepared to buy a few parts. Besides using different fittings, this pump works great with a water source like rain barrels. I have used it with a simple square shape passive sprinkler (pressure actuated) and a passive arc sprinkler which is also pressure actuated. Both types worked great to get the maximum distance. I bought this pump to pump water out of my 55 gallon (x4) spare drums. Whether this pump was made in America could not be clearly determined due to the delivery and suction parts supplied. I ended up not using any of the parts that came with it. To fit the garden hose on the suction side I bought a 1" male adapter with a 3/4" female fitting as well as a garden hose fitting for that side. I've read the manual, tried using garden hoses on both ends, read in full that min 25mm but just needed confirmation that this pump works.
