Does not show ambient temperature correctly

I installed it on my 2004 diesel Ford F-250. Ambient temperature readings are still at least 30 F different. I'm not sure if this is a part or something.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • I'll write back later

So far so good, best at ambient temperature

Just installed on a 1998 Explorer. Can't beat it for $13. Dealer wanted over 30€. I can finally see the exact outside temperature for the first time in 3 years. Just easy easy to install. It lasted 10 seconds.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Uncertain

Fits my 2000 F250 diesel but the temp gauge is .

Fits my 2000 F250 diesel engine but the temperature reading on the roof top display is sometimes still different. I am not sure if it is the temperature sensor or something is wrong with my car.

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Functionality

Very simple solution for Ford F250

Fixed problem with uneven temperature measurement. Very easy to install on Ford F250, 4 screws at the top of the grille and 4 clips (insert with a screwdriver) at the bottom, it took about 5 minutes to replace this part.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Without automatic transmission

missing internal ambient temperature seal

Item arrived on time and well packaged. The sensor was missing an internal seal (ribbed O-ring) which I had to pull out of the original part. The resistance measured was about 7.7k ohms, in contrast to my faulty sensor which read over 44k ohms. The displayed temperature was only a few degrees from the actual temperature (+/-3 degrees Fahrenheit). Satisfied so far.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
