Product works like the original. Easy installation Solder the wire to the rod, I used shrink tubing to close the plus so there is no contact. 6 months connected and up and running!

I wish I could find one like this with two wires so the ground can be connected separately. Why? Because once the original is removed, the threading can be pretty gonzo - nothing a spiral coil couldn't fix, but it was time consuming and I'm lazy!

These switches are set to the longest position. They should automatically adjust to the correct length after assembly when you close the door, but they are so tight that they could damage the door before they move. I had to drive the length in a vise and they moved a lot. They look just like original GM cars and trucks from the late '60s and '70s.

These are factory replacement switches that fit and work perfectly in my 1974 Chevy K10 truck. Easy to install and works like factory. Just plug in the wire, screw them into the truck body and slowly close the door and they will automatically adjust by inserting the tube into the screw body to the correct length. They are $10 each at my local parts store and they are the same brand. Good price!
