Excellent Sensor for Automotive Engines

This sensor is a lifesaver for any engines! The installation process is very easy and the reliability is amazing. The sensor works great in detecting the crankshaft's position and relaying the information to the ECU. The price is also reasonable, making it an affordable replacement. However, it would be better if the wire length was a bit longer to avoid any issues during installation. Overall, a great purchase for any automotive enthusiast!

Pros
  • High quality and reliable
Cons
  • Pricier than some other options on the market.

Don't think that will last.

Seems to have worked for a month. When accelerating onto the track, the car stalled and she had to step aside. I tried to start it again and the car fires in all directions. I threw away the codes and flew the crankshaft sensor. Well, the return period is over.

Took 11 months. cheap part expensive labor

I fitted this to a newly rebuilt engine in April 2019 as part of an engine swap on my '96 Isuzu Oasis. In March 2020 the sensor failed with codes P0336 and P0335. Yes, the warranty is less than 3 years/36,000 miles, but the $800 to remove and replace isn't. I've had good experiences with other Standard Motor products, but this one was definitely a mistake. Over the past year, the price of this sensor has doubled and the OEM cost has gone from $200 to $300, but this time I'm spending the money…
