3 is excellent. I had trouble starting the truck.

This CPU is a perfect match for 7.3. I had issues with the truck starting to stutter after I installed it. Replaced with a factory part and bingo. Now the car runs perfectly.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • No

Installed in my 2000 F-250 with 7.3.

Installed on my 2000 F-250 with a 7.3 diesel, after installing the sensor the truck over revved / choked at about 1900 rpm. I had to reinstall my old light gray Ford OEM CPS and the problem went away.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

This is how the new truck performs best Spare parts

Wow! This CPS offers instant start! Quiet idle! Brilliant. Buy this and your truck will thank you. PS I promptly threw the gray CPS parts store in the trash while the truck happened to be idling and starting poorly. I even refused to keep it just in case, what a difference!

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Not good for OBS load shocks but works for 99-03 load shocks.

I installed this on a 1996 engine with a power stroke that was causing the engine to stall and skip about 2500 rpm. I then installed the same sensor on a 2001 PowerStroke and it has worked well so far (no problems so far). I'm not sure why they have the same motor. Time will tell how long this lasts.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative gift
