Problem solved! fits spare parts

The vehicle code was P0340. It is fixed by simply replacing the position sensor with a new one. I recommend to all Dodge owners who need this specific camshaft position sensor.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than the others

Perfect Fit, Car Drives Better Than Before

Perfect Fit, Car Drives Better Than Before. The mechanics told me that Chrysler is picky about these camshaft position sensors and that you should only use the factory brand or I'll be in trouble. It's just not true, it's been working for several months with no problems.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

while running well at the camshaft position

10 year old OE sensor replaced. The part is light gray in color and the casting is a bit rough. The part is installed and works perfectly. Only time will tell if it can withstand the temperatures that a turbocharged engine can handle. It was about half the Oepart price. Free standard shipping took about 7 days.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Newer model could have been selected

Problem best solved in spare parts

It works great! Ease of installation. It took less than 30 minutes to disassemble the old sensor and install the new one. Now I have no more hesitations when I step on the gas and it seems to go a little better now. I would never do it myself until I took it to the shop to check. I think $190 they want to change, I've made up my mind.

Pros
  • Excellent design

My 'Check Engine' issue was solved very easily

Quick and easy DIY repair of your PT Cruiser when the 'Check Engine' light comes on and gives code P0340. This sensor is located at the end of the engine next to the air filter and is easy to use. You only need a torque wrench so you can tighten the bolts to 115 in-lbs. The sensor has now been replaced and the "Check Engine" light is no longer lit!

Pros
  • Stable Test Results
Cons
  • Minor Issues
