📊 Enhanced Performance with Standard Motor Products VP8T EGR Pressure Feedback Sensor Review

Good product. Kicked my van in the ass. No more hesitation, stuttering or slow acceleration. It's not built as heavy as the original aluminum part, but it's a decent quality plastic. Awkward to install, but that's Ford's fault. So far, so good.

I bought this hoping to clear some engine codes like other reviewers did. Looks like most of them got rid of. Now there is another one that seems to want me to replace the oxygen sensor. But that's not the fault of this part. :) I know I shouldn't just throw parts at the problem, but the install was easy and there wasn't too much money for the part. Most mechanics end up doing the same thing and then charge me for the labor and twice the price of the part.

I am sure this item will work as intended and will fit my 02 Focus mounted on a fire wall. My complaint about this is that Ford changed the connection to the sensor and Amazon didn't have the new connection on their website when I checked. So if you get this item and focus on the bearing you will have to buy a new wiring harness, splice the wires to get it working and spend another 50-180 to get this part working properly. Gets 5 stars but the extra effort required to make it work 2 stars.

This little vacuum adjustment sensor can wreak havoc on idle quality (and turn on the check engine light!) if not working properly. The only reason for four out of five stars: This part replaces an OEM all-metal part. There is sometimes a problem with plastic becoming brittle after repeated heating/cooling in places like a hot upper intake manifold. I was hoping to cure the stuttering that comes with some Magic over time. I changed the EGR valve as soon as the check engine light came on.
