For exterior doors, this wasn't a problem, but for my interior doors, my house felt closed. I needed an easy way to keep doors wide open. This is a really great concept, especially for people like me who live in an old house and have doors that don't want to stay open on their own. Now you not only have a doorstop, but also a door holder. This would be a really great product for those who have a slamming door in their home due to drafts. As for the magnetism, I don't understand why some people say it's too weak to hold the door open? It visibly magnetizes when trying to close the door, so maybe it was a corner/installation error?
