🔧 Stant Engine Coolant Reservoir Cap, Black: Efficient and Durable Solution Review

I bought a cheaper version of this cover off ebay and it overflowed, I thought the worst and spent extra money to diagnose more serious problems like a blown head gasket. As a last resort, I bought this stant cover and installed it before ripping off the top of my engine. Problem solved, no more overflow. The cheap brand was defective ex works. Lesson Learned: While the original Volvo cap is probably the best, this Stant cap is an effective and less expensive alternative to the original OEM.

Used on my 01 Volvo S60. OEM installation, the function was exactly the same. Cleaner than the original and cheap enough that there's no point in cleaning the old one. *** UPDATE 03/31/2017 *** 3 years later, now with 175,000 miles on the engine, it is holding up well.

Purchased for the coolant reservoir on an '89 Jeep Comanche. The tank was an aftermarket replacement. I bought a new cap from my local auto parts store but it fell apart when the engine got hot. This replacement has been recommended on the Jeep forums and works great.

This is a standard 150 bar 22psi cap. The information is wrong and misleading - 11psi is supposed to help protect older cooling systems. I also received a model from Taiwan (black) and one from Germany (green). The black valve has a strange design, I don't understand. I want it to be consistent.
