Won't stick to wet aluminum

I tried to patch a small pencil diameter hole in an aluminum pontoon and it didn't stick at all. I sanded and cleaned the surface but some water was still dripping from the hole. I stuck it in the hole and rolled it around the pontoon and it fell as fast as I could put it on. I've used this on dry aluminum and it worked great, but in my experience it doesn't stick to the wet surface at all.

  • Amazing

EXCELLENT THING WITHOUT PROBLEMS

This thing is EXCELLENT! We didn't want to mix chemicals and become junior chemists, so this was the answer. It is a long tube of clay-like material. You roll the blue coating into the white center stock with your bare hands [with a little water] until the color is even. Then put the material in the gap and smooth it out like plasticine. the color is permanent until it begins to settle; So make a plan before you start. Compared to other products, the price is about half.

Helped fix a leaking bidet.

Found a $100 Brondell Swash SE600 on eBay. As expected it arrived with a few issues apart from an internal leak (no doubt why it was returned). It turned out that the heating element for the internal hot water tank was mounted on an uneven surface (sounds like an accidental manufacturing defect?). I have never used this material (Star Brite epoxy) but the reviews seem reliable. It's as easy to make as grating cookie dough and only takes a few minutes. Easy to apply too, with enough adhesion to…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
