📏 Starrett 289A Combination Square Attachment, 1-Inch Range Review

The first one I bought was perfect. However I had to hunt down the threads for the second. The cost of the Threads have to be absolutely perfect.

The first one I bought was perfect. In the second, however, I had to chase the threads. At a price, the thread has to be absolutely perfect.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the exposed left pin (or half screw) is flush with the part or not ie. Rule or 289C does not sit flush after installation. I don't know if I got a bad one or not. The pin/screw sits like a bump. It seems it should sit level or slightly lower so it doesn't wobble.
