Cuts plaster like butter!

Cut holes in plaster in seconds! Works with universal mounts. The amazing tool replaced a non-carbide hole saw that was useless after two cuts. quality for eternity. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Excellent quality hole saw

I used this hole saw to make 6" holes in 5/8" drywall for LED lights. I cut 42 holes and they were all perfect. The hole saw was as sharp as it was when it was unpacked. This product lives up to Starrett's reputation. Great quality and a good price.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Drill Kit

A heavy-duty drill and/or softwood will probably do the trick

I was trying to cut a 6" hole in a 3/4" piece of cherry wood with my drill; no luck even if the board is tight. (Starts to cut, but drill stops quickly even at the lowest speed. Higher speeds don't work either.) I expect this will work fine with a more powerful drill, but not my 12" benchtop model.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
