📏 Starrett SM44ME Precision Adhesive Graduation Intervals Review

My table saw didn't have a tape measure when I bought it. For two years I used a large square to set the distance to the fence and finally got it. It seems great. I like that it's made of steel. The glue seems good. The numbering may be quite small, but I'm not too old to see it. Only the first 18 inches or so are marked 1/16 inch, after that only 1/8 inch. I couldn't be happier with it myself.

I bought this to replace the factory rail fence on my new table saw guide fence. The gauge that came with the table saw was not accurate. it was off at least 1/16 places. I carefully scraped off the factory jig, cleaned the surface of any old residue of glue, cut it to length, aligned the left edge accordingly and placed it on the railing. Works like a charm and I love the fact that I can now trust my fence without having to whip out a tape measure for every cut. A very good quality.

Although the numbering is clear, the centimeter scale is not perfect. For example, instead of the mark 36 (cm) on the tape measure, you will see "60”. You then have to go back to see that you just passed 300. So you are at 300 + 60 or 360 millimeters. The problem is that "300" has the same font type and size as subsequent centimeter increments. I know, simple math. But it would be much more direct and clear to just type 36, then 37, then 38 (centimeters) or 360, 370 or 380 (millimeters). It's a

I'm torn on how to rate this product. On the one hand, it is legible, accurate and well finished. On the other hand, I tried installing it in the POWERTEC 71119 Universal Double Cutout T-Rail, which I bought separately with the POWERTEC 71070 T-Rail Grip Set (also sold separately).
