Waste of Money: my feedback

The StarTech Com 2.5in Removable Drive Expansion was a complete letdown. According to my experience, installing this drive was a hassle, with no clear instructions provided. Once installed, it failed to increase the storage capacity and was extremely slow in transferring data. The only pro about this product is the design. However, its cons overshadow it with its lack of functionality and reliability. I regret purchasing this and would not recommend it to anyone.

Better than expected. I already want a few more!

High quality materials used. Adding an SSD is easy. I managed to get rid of the floppy drive. LOL, it looks like it comes with a 2" SATA data cable but I needed a slightly longer one. But everything worked out. I bought a 5.25 tray. but not needed. It fits well in my 1.44 drive bay. (3.5 inch) If you need hardware for your SSD. That's just my opinion, but I don't think you can go wrong with it. I think it's worth the price. I think I will use this in it many times in the past life of the SSDโ€ฆ

Great way to add an extra drive to my desktop.

. With limited 3.5" hard drive bays, I decided to use it as a mount for a 2.5" SSD in one of the external 3.5" floppy drive slots. So far I've worked fine and added an additional disk access indicator just for the installed disk. This is a very durable case. I was concerned that using a SATA pass-through connection to the installed hard drive might negatively impact performance, but I didn't notice any performance change. Like most StarTech products, it's very well built and reliable. The price
