. With limited 3.5" hard drive bays, I decided to use it as a mount for a 2.5" SSD in one of the external 3.5" floppy drive slots. So far I've worked fine and added an additional disk access indicator just for the installed disk. This is a very durable case. I was concerned that using a SATA pass-through connection to the installed hard drive might negatively impact performance, but I didn't notice any performance change. Like most StarTech products, it's very well built and reliable. The price is a bit high for what it does, but it was a better quality option for what I needed. I don't use the hot-swap feature. It contained the screws needed for assembly, as well as a key to lock it in the drive.
