Great card, but be careful when installing!

Great card, especially at this price! It's fast, even in a less than ideal location in my house where the router is two walls and one floor down. BUT, if you are installing on a Windows 7 computer, DO NOT use the latest drivers from the company website. Use the installation CD that came with the kit. It took me two hours to fix my computer that wouldn't even boot with new drivers. Reinstalling from CD resulted in great performance.

Works great on Windows 10

I recently bought a new Linksys WRT1900AC wireless router, but my PC wireless adapter is no longer connected to it. It was one of the cheaper options that had good reviews and was compatible with Windows 10, so I gave it a try. He has proven himself extremely well. Easy installation and I haven't had a single problem with it since I installed it over two months ago. I didn't have to install drivers, Windows found them automatically. I can't ask for anything better than zero hassle.

Very poor performance on Windows 10

Stay away from this card if you're using Windows 10. Although the drivers install without any problems, the performance is very poor. The driver showed a connection speed of 300 Mbps and my actual download speed was 6 Mbps. I tried the default Windows 10 drivers as well as the drivers on the CD and downloaded the latest drivers from startech and mediatek (who make the chip on these cards) and using the Mediatek driver increased the speed to around 12Mbps.
