Disappointing Travel Adapter for Home Audio

This adapter failed to meet my expectations for electronics compatibility with home audio accessories. It did allow me to connect to multiple display types, but the audio quality suffered. Most importantly, the adapter did not work reliably and frequently disconnected. I would not recommend it for home audio use.

DO NOT BUY FOR USE WITH SURFACE PRO 4 DOCKING STATION

DO NOT BUY FOR USE WITH SURFACE PRO 4 DOCKING STATION Set up 4 different Surface Pro 4s and order one for each docking station. This thing is great for travel and works fine when attached to the Surface Pro 4 itself, but will NOT work with the Surface Pro 4 Dock. For the dock you need to buy what is called an "active" adapter.

You will not regret the purchase!

Works well with my computer without a VGA port for high to low resolution conversion. I do a lot of presentations with it, and even where the projector has HDMI, often only VGA is available because of ceiling mounts or so. Great quality, reliable, good price and much smaller than some other converters I've seen. And the cable's length is especially useful for setups with multiple peripherals. Highly recommended!
