Works with Apple M1 chip, no problem

I needed 4x monitors from the new Mac Mini and Macbook Air with Apple M1 chip and this seems to be the only option. I need to install a driver, but after that I have two 2560x1440 monitors running at 60Hz with no noticeable lag. It uses very minimal resources. Highly recommended as the M1 cannot drive more than 2 monitors (2 for Mac Mini, 1x external for Macbook Air, since the laptop's built-in screen counts).

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Only available in black

DUAL DISPLAYS WITH M1 MBA 2020

This works for Dual Displays with M1 MacBook Air! No noticeable lag, no CPU issues with just two displays. I only have 25 inch 1920 x 1080 displays but it's perfect for my work. I don't edit videos/photos, I just use good old Citrix. No complaints so far - will update if there are any issues. ' in the privacy settings.

No portrait rotation on macOS

I have decided to return this adapter. While it gets the job done, it doesn't support screen rotation, and as a developer I prefer to keep my left monitor in portrait mode rather than landscape. This adapter and macOS on the M1 MacBook Air do not give you this option. Also, the resolution options are limited, so this adapter is definitely not the same as using a direct-connected monitor. Also, some noticeable compression/video artifacts were noticeable. While this allows you to use your Mac m1…

Adds 2 more monitors to my work laptop's USBC hub

As a software developer, I like to use many monitors. My current work laptop only supports 3 and adding this increased the support to 5 which changed everything. For standard work, coding and usage, it performs just as well as standard external monitors. It's not recommended for gaming and I haven't tried it, but it works well with video and doesn't have any lag or blurring like previous USB graphics cards I've used. You have to go to the manufacturer's website and download the driver for it to

  • Expensive but decent

Works best with accessories and accessories

My home office setup: 2560x1440p @60hz x2 and 4k60 x1. I recently got a new Dell Lattitude laptop that no longer uses the old proprietary docks, so my company is now shipping the Dell WD15 USB-C dock. It works great for two monitors using the mini-DP and HDMI ports, unless you're using more than one monitor at 1080p+. This USB device is great for driving my second 1440p and 4k monitor at 60Hz. The button gets hot, but all these types of devices usually get hot but should never feel too hot. I…

Bad screen resolution 4K UHD 60Hz

This is a very compact device. It converted my laptop's poor screen resolution to high-resolution 4K UHD and colorful graphics on a large external display. I bought my laptop about a year ago based on CPU performance, memory, storage space but I didn't realize the screen resolution was that bad. I was looking for 3 things: a large high resolution external monitor with a DP connector, an external graphics adapter with an HDMI connector (input) and a DP connector (output). I bought a larger…

Pros
  • CONNECTION AND DISPLAY: This DisplayLink certified dongle automatically installs driver updates on your Windows computers (7/8/10). It is also USB powered and does not require an external power supply.
Cons
  • I am concerned

amazing and works but not working after two weeks (returned)

I used to have an adapter that only worked at 30Hz and after changing it to this (ie 60Hz) I was very impressed. While the USB adapter isn't ideal for all types of 4k content such as videos and graphics, my use of floating text and mouse/window work is perfect. I'm using this because the type-c ports burned out on my expensive ultrabook. Work successfully! A cheap $100 repair for what will likely cost a brand new motherboard or laptop. UPDATE IN 1 WEEK. I changed my rating to 4 instead of 5…
