Now I can see clearly

I spend time spotting wildlife in Monterey Bay/Big Sur and decided I needed a decent lightweight pair of binoculars. Wow. They are amazing - super light and easy to focus to accommodate my astigmatism in one eye. Such clarity and wonderful bokeh. I can't imagine any other binoculars. Definitely worth the premium price.

Inexpensive, typical Steiner image quality, packed small

I've been a fan of Steiner binoculars for a number of years. I also have three Steiner Marine binoculars (two 7x50 with compass/range finder and one 7x30) which were impressive so my take on this pair of kids (2212) is pretty harsh. I can't believe the clarity of the image through the 2212. I just scanned a mountain range (5 miles away) with a lake in between - the detail, colors and clarity were great. Can't wait to hunt in a few weeks. Sure... Image width is 26mm smaller than I'm used to, but

My other binoculars are 6x30, 8x30 and 10x50 porro prism shaped. These are my first roof prism binoculars. They are easily adjustable, goggle-friendly and fit comfortably in the hand. I am very happy with these shaders. They offer excellent clarity at all distances I've used them for. From bird watching to

A good choice for daily viewing and travel.

Very clear view, light weight and great for travel. Just got back from the Cinque Terre and this Steiner did the job. As we rode the ferry from village to village, we had a good view - down to the smallest detail - of the coast and the villages. Stand on the ground and look at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Clear as a bell with excellent detail. No prism fringes, just clear vision. No stabilizer, no auto focus, just good lightweight 10x26 binoculars. Our goal was to reduce the bulk and weight of…
