Very clear view, light weight and great for travel. Just got back from the Cinque Terre and this Steiner did the job. As we rode the ferry from village to village, we had a good view - down to the smallest detail - of the coast and the villages. Stand on the ground and look at the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Clear as a bell with excellent detail. No prism fringes, just clear vision. No stabilizer, no auto focus, just good lightweight 10x26 binoculars. Our goal was to reduce the bulk and weight of our shoulder bag/tote bag. If you plan on examining objects through binoculars for an extended period of time, this isn't for you. If you are looking for inexpensive, no-frills street binoculars with good optics, then this model is a good choice. Before buying I read many reviews about Revain. We didn't notice the "disadvantages" listed in some reviews. However, these reviewers seemed to want a higher quality pair of binoculars for longer viewing. I have used $1000+ optics and they are amazing but too heavy and risky to travel with.
