🍽️ Freeze-Dried Raw Dinner Patties by Stella & Chewy's Review

My two dogs have been enjoying these pancakes crumbled onto their dry dog food for months. Always happy to eat. However, that last bag must have been spoiled. Both of my dogs refused to eat their food and one started vomiting. After trial and error, I realized these were the cakes. So disappointed. Not sure if this is a Stella & Chewy or Revain issue, but I will not be purchasing this product again. :(

I've been buying Duck Duck Goose from my local pet food store for 2 years and it's great, but the batch I just bought from Revain has spicy bits of bone in almost every patty. I have a small dog (16lbs) and these 0.5-1.0cm bone splinters seem very dangerous on her small neck. It looks like Stella & Chewy's either used a new supplier or changed the equipment to prepare this meal as the bones are no longer fully ground.

We use them as treats, not food. We love that we can break them down into smaller pieces and give as many as we want. Our dog loves them so sorry for another report of foreign bodies in patties. . . We haven't seen bone splinters like some of the others, but we've just noticed what looks like green plastic embedded in one of the patties (see photos). This is a great product so I hope the manufacturer fixes their quality control issues.

In July we received new packs of Stella and Chewy's Super Beef. When I opened the new packaging, the cakes looked different. I was worried about the bad food so I called Stella and Chewie to make sure the new pies were safe. They called me back and they're safe. S&C changed the manufacturing process, not the recipe, to make the patties firmer. After 3 weeks, our cute dog still can't digest the new patties. Hello seller, I am very disappointed with this order. I initially ordered Stella and Chewy CHICKEN but got BEEF patties. I thought, okay, I'll just try the beef and see if my dog likes it (and if so, no problem). When I was preparing the food for my dog, I found that the patties weren't the consistency I was used to. They didn't crumble but were still broken into pieces, when broken felt wet to the touch. They were also darker on the inside where I believe moisture was trapped. (see image 1)…

There's no way to be 100% sure that this food is the culprit, but that's the only thing I've done differently with my 13 lb, 3 year old Havana kitten . She used to have Primal Instincts Beef Patties and Stella and Chewy's CHICKEN but this was her first time with Stella and Chewy's Beef and I increased the amount to hopefully make it her main meal. 2/13/18: Both of my dogs love Stella & Chewy's (all flavors). In fact, they love it so much I can't get them to eat anything else. They used to eat Orijen and Honest Kitchen (both high quality dog food from my research), but now they turn their noses up at both.
