    One size up for girls

    Go up ONE FULL size. I made the mistake of taking a size and a half and they are a bit large. Good quality leather and hopefully they will hold up even if they are too big.

    Great quality at Athletic

    These flats were ordered for my 5 year old daughter. They are cool! The leather is soft, the sole is soft. Great shoes and great price. I usually buy Bloch or Capezio ballet shoes for my daughter but I couldn't find black. I'm glad I bought them!

    Great fit, high quality

    They fit a little loose but when I tightened the strings they fit perfectly. I love that they fit so well now but she still has room to grow. They are of really good quality and seem to last. The pink isn't off-putting or garish to the eyes, it's not as pale as "ballet pink" but still subdued enough to look good and go well with her pink leotard.

    I bought a size 10 based on other reviews. My little girl is 4 years old and wears size 9 or 10 outdoor shoes. (For comparison, she wears size 10 Nike sneakers.) I bought them, Capezio Daisy and Bolch Bunnyhop. Of the three shoes, these fit the best and look the best. They don't have a lot of room to grow, but they do have something. The leather doesn't look cheap and they appear to be well made.

    We needed half a size down from the shoe size

    My daughter is a size 2 in most tennis shoes (our standard is reversed) and we really had to go half a size down to get them to fit. Leather shoes (like these) will stretch and flex a bit, so it's probably best if they start fitting snugly. I know sometimes people buy canvas shoes and they don't stretch, but these do. We bought both sizes and returned size 2 and kept size 1.5. We had no trouble returning them as they were listed as free returns. Raven is great at it!
