Not bright enough in the midday sun but works like a champ

Works but not as bright as I thought. Maybe it's my eyesight, there's still room in my toolbox and I can throw out the cheaper one that was so inconsistent and frustrating.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Even worked well for checking a lawn mower spark.

I could see more clearly that I'd lost spark in the first cylinder on my 20-year-old twin Kawasaki machines on a Toro commercial zero turn. It might have helped to have a slightly larger alligator clip, but I was able to clip it on and test it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works from the COP ignition.

They work with an ignition coil (COP). It worked great on my Ford 4.6 DOHC. I quickly got over finding the bad cop. I usually have to go over a cylinder and replace a compatible COP left over from another car. Also worked on CS 01 5.4.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Very simple, you can check the spark or spark strength

Easy to use product works very well to check if there are sparks in the coil. Just be very careful, make sure the surface of the engine is dry (no gasoline, oil or carburetor cleaner), also make sure there are no gas leaks in the air if you are in a garage and always wear safety goggles and finally keep your distance. as long as it's a spark, you don't want to get electrocuted.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • dull packaging
