Shakes and shakes outrageously

Update, 05/17/2018 - I just called the service about rattling and shaking. They told me the new tires they were using wobbled and rattled and there was nothing he could do about it. He said he would let the quality department know and suggested I return the item.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Crumpled

8 months old LOVES this car

One of the screws was missing from the box and there were 4 extra pieces. However, once we assembled it, our 8 month old son loved it. The recommended age is 18 months, but our son sits independently from the age of 5 months and began reaching after standing at 7.5 months. He is very stable in this car with the seat belt on. Definitely glad we got it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Parts creak, lower quality compared to previous model

We borrowed one from a friend and lived about 3 years but returned it when they had a new baby. That was great! This new one is junk. My husband, a trained aerospace and mechanical engineer who also builds race cars for fun, can't seem to get things to work. It's noisy, rattles, and the quality of the plastic is cheaper than the original model (which was made just a few years ago). I'm giving it one star because my kids still love it, I just can't push it with all the hype!

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Something different

The best product I have ever bought for my 10 month old baby!

I bought this for my 10 month old son for his month/block party. This HAS to be the BIGGEST thing I've ever bought since he was born! He loves to wear it everywhere, even just to go in circles. He loves it so much I was so surprised how much. Even his sister loves it, despite being over 50lbs herself has kept it BIG except for some wear on the rubber tires. I would recommend this to anyone who has a child who can't walk or even if they have it's a great way for parents to get some exercise if…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Do not buy! in Push Ride-Ons

We bought one of these for our niece a while back and she loved it so we recently bought one for our son. Collected and found it shook and rattled when pressed, not a bit shook and rattled is really bad. We changed it thinking it was just a bad block and bought a new one and put it back together and it has the same wobble and rattle. I called step2 to see if they have any suggestions. I spoke to a very nice woman who informed me that the engineers recently changed the design of the wheels…

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Can't remember

My son loves it! c - Tricycles, Scooters and Vans

I assembled it myself in about an hour. I'm sure it will be MUCH less for others, but I'm bad with these things. However, I could actually do it myself. The instructions were clear. I saw several people saying the wheel fell off. I can understand how. The wheel is attached to the axle with a plastic cap with a metal ring. The ring is too big and you need to drive a metal rod into the metal to make it fit. I had to try several times to install it directly. Make sure this part is upright and tug…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Very loud and vibrates/rattles

This was our second attempt at ordering a push machine. We have friends who had it and liked it so we decided to buy it. Apparently they changed the wheels recently, I emailed Step 2 and the new wheels are SO LOUD. The answer I got in step 2 is below: These wheels are designed to produce limited noise depending on the floor surface. The accentuating finish affects noise levels - cement, gravel, ash, dirt, wood, decking, etc. The previous whisper wheel was made in China and is no longer used on…

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • no power

We bought this for our 13 month old on the advice of another parent and boys they were right. (UPDATE: We are now using it on the same kid aged 3.5 and only had to remove the handlebars to give him more leg room, otherwise it still works! My son is tall for his age too). I would take her advice and not wait for the 18 month mark as our little one is obsessed with this car. The seating area is narrower than the race car shopping carts at our local stores, so it's probably for the smaller boys…
