Worked with infused ethanol

Made great progress in extracting oil from my infused ethanol. I would have continued, but I decided to stop it while there was still some ethanol left to pour the oil from the still and let it air dry the rest of the way.

Cons
  • Minor issues

Works great for wine making

I've only made spirits with it and it works great. One run takes two hours, giving you 750ml of fresh, pure alcohol. Be sure to filter after diluting the 60% ABV you get from a gallon of mash. I do my laundry for about 5-6 cycles at a time. This is easy as YouTube is full of videos. I will also use it to make distilled water for my lead acid batteries.

It's as easy as making coffee

I used to work with small machines, but I was fascinated by a machine so compact and simple. Got one and was finally able to run it for the first time tonight. Incredibly simple and effective. 2 hours and done, quite usable the first time. There was a bit of a smell after washing, but the ease of use and speed are worth it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to try a little homemade moonshine.

Pros
  • That packs a punch
Cons
  • No paint required

Basic but no control

Did a few washes on finished laundry and it came out an average of 40%. When I collected all the runs and ran again, I got an average of 70%. The base began to rust in several places after I used it, cleaned it and dried it. It's amazing how a dry pot can rust. I'm still scratching my head about this. I'm trying to get a replacement as this block shouldn't do that. I'm afraid to look into the worm. Is it also full of rust? Pros: Easy to use and it produces what you are looking for. Cons - it…

A fifth of mead two hours after delivery.

After receiving this majestic animal; I unwrapped it, washed it, poured in a gallon of homemade mead, and pocketed it. Two hours later, I had a 120-proof mead that was milder than medium-strength craft vodka. In combination with my conical fermenter, I no longer spend a cent on alcohol. For small personal use, this is absolutely the most efficient and inexpensive option I've come across. I haven't tried extracting essential oils yet, but my next project will involve extracting herbal oils to…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

This is the first alembic I have ever used but having ended up with a delicious honey champagne and the best rum I have ever had I would definitely recommend it to anyone starting out. Watch the video safely online. I started by pouring the first 40ml and leaving the bottle at exactly 750ml, after that the liquid becomes very low in alcohol and oily. Only complaint is you have to be really close and check it every minute until it starts leaking and then every 5 minutes. once it's warm enough to

Useless Wasteful Inefficient

Wasteful, Useless! I would have thought that for $195 it would give me a product choice. You pay almost 200 to save space and not use the stove. I figured there should be a kitchen station here for this price, and there it is: a fan! My God. This is a pot with a fan lid that has a spout. That's all. That means you put your plant in a pot, turn it on and it heats up and then steam comes out the side. Ineffective. Well, save yourself some money. Just as effective, if not more efficient, is…

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Requires outlet

Good quality, easy to use

Good stainless steel construction. Deadly simple operation: a single button resets the lock (required if the solution boils to the end). Therefore, control over the system is practically impossible (no way to control the temperature, set a timer, etc.). The instructions are a bit primitive. However, once you understand the theory of how it works, you will be fine. The bottom chamber (which you fill with the solution you want to distill) acts as the kettle. The top is hermetically sealed. As the
