Description of πŸ“š Stillman & Birn Epsilon Series Wirebound Sketchbook 9x12": High-Quality, Heavyweight Paper with Smooth Surface

HEAVYWEIGHT PAPER: Strong enough to use wet media on both sides of page. Great for fine line artwork and technical drawing with ink wash. CRAFTED FOR MIXED MEDIA: Double-sized (from non-animal materials) for enhanced wet strength and glowing color. ERASABLE & TOUGH: Withstands multiple erasures and holds up well to layered light washes of wet media. DURABLE: Thick board, premium coil wire binding with secure closure, and heavy-duty art paper equals a sketchbook that is built for serious use. LOVES INK: Holds ink line with precision without feathering or bleeding. Ink & ink wash, stippling, cross-hatching, etc.

Perfect for sketching

Very nicely designed sketchbook. I plan to get more different sizes. I love how it opens up when I need access and is easy to take with me.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Sturdy paper with anti-bleed

Fountain pen ink is not suitable for all types of paper. Watercolor quality paper that is perfectly smooth for both drawing and writing. Hard enough for watercolor, making it the perfect travel journal.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Great for ink and watercolor

I received the Epsilon test page and wanted more. This book is perfect for drawing on the go with a convenient fountain pen and then adding watercolor strokes or even thinning ink for a beautiful brush stroke. The paper holds up well, even if it says "Easy Wash" it can hold up a little longer.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Damaged

Sketchbook Stillman and Birn

Very good sketchbook. I bought all three suggested sketchbooks, which are designed for different mediums and have different paper weights. I like the spiral binding so the pages lay flat. Paper weight is not listed inside, so you can either write it on the cover or cut out the label and stick it on the cover.

Pros
  • Solid workmanship
Cons
  • No performance

The album I received was the perfect size and inspired me to do some new projects with the black calligraphy pen. It was a learning experience. The pages hold all the ink without seeping through and are great for black ink, charcoal, colored pencils and art pencils. I absolutely enjoy mine!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Everything I need in an inked sketchbook.

This is the perfect notebook for my ink drawings. I've used fountain pens and fountain pens quite a bit over the past few years, and I'm having a hard time finding a sketchbook that's compatible with the tons of ink I'm happy to squirt with each stroke. This paper is relatively thick and very smooth. I like to fully flex my G nib pens and have no issues with ink bleeding or paper becoming too "leaky" and cracking under the pointed nibs. I like hard covers to protect the paper and I love spiral…

Great mixed media sketchbook/worth every penny

This is my favorite and favorite sketchbook and I've been buying it for about 3 years now. Ink and markers stick to the page very well and blend well. Definitely worth it if you want to spend the extra dollar over the cheaper ones. A few pieces I've had for a few years and apart from the obvious use they show little to no signs of wear. You'll encounter typical problems with your sketchbook: dry environments carry over to the next page, alcohol marker bleeds, but that's okay. than any other…

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something
