The hammer is very well made, the spring loaded function seems designed to get the job done with ease, the bright orange color helps to find the tool. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because there is no reason the handle couldn't be longer and the overall weight could be heavier. It's light, hopefully heavy enough to break a window, but I think if the trapped person is injured or not very strong, more weight can be crucial.

I bought it for the same reason most people do - peace of mind. I've never been locked in a vehicle or had to break in (baby in a hot car etc) but now I feel ready should the opportunity arise. I'm short and not particularly strong so I appreciate the presence of a spring loaded shock absorber as well as the fact that the tool isn't bulky or heavy.
