This is a great replacement

Conventional crayons have recently been replaced and I love it. They're expensive and color limited, but for my toddler and preschooler who lost interest in crayons because they were too bright, they're great substitutes. We also have beeswax cubes and my kids love to switch between them. The color comes out so bright and doesn't require much pressure. As a former art student, I appreciate the ability to create subtle shading.

Best Colored Pencils: Drawing, Painting, and Craft Supplies

These are the best colored pencils. We were introduced to beeswax crayons at a Waldorf school for our children and while expensive, they are well worth the extra cost. I don't even think it's worth going back to Crayola. We have tried this brand and another: Natural Beeswax Colored Pencils, Set of 24 (133-50) from International Arrivals and these are much better. The color is more saturated and they lay down more evenly. A tin can is also good because it's easy to travel with. I always have aโ€ฆ

Bold color and handy size for younger kids to experiment with

I love the bright colors of these crayons and they are just the right size for little hands. However, I was disappointed after reading other reviews from people who researched these pens. crayons and found that they contained very little real beeswax. It seems to me that many years ago they mainly had beeswax. Not sure how easy a parent's sharpener works to sharpen crayons when they need one. I don't remember sharpening crayons when I was a kid, but that was years ago! We just took off theโ€ฆ

Great pens! on colored pencils

I almost bought a cheaper brand as this is my first time buying beeswax pencils. As this seems to be the most recommended brand I bought two of these sets for my sons and am so glad I did. They are packed in a nice tin can with Velcro. Perfect size colored pencils for my 5 and 8 year old hands. They smell good, they're well made, they're nice on little fingers. Their larger size gives my sons a better grip and they no longer reach for crayons unless they need a specific color that crayons don't

Easy Wax Crayons in Drawing Media

These crayons didn't impress me at all. I wanted some crayons for my 2 year old that I could enjoy too. I remembered a set of Caran D'ache crayons I had as a kid, they were incredibly bright and I was hoping they might be something similar. Unfortunately, they are pale, waxy, and less delicate than even Crayola crayons. I mean if you press hard you still get a faint line of wax. I was hoping for at least a slight change in the amount of paint depending on the pressure. As already mentioned, the

As if they form a tough outer layer

They are very durable. My 1 year old came up to them and threw them across the room and chewed on one but we were able to save them all because they are very very difficult to break unlike any other crayons we have ever used. We reduced this gum a bit and my eldest son still uses it. We've had these 8 months and they're all only 3/4 alive and well. The only problem I've had is that it's very difficult to get them to show color when they're cold (like when it's cold in the house). Likeโ€ฆ

On the Drawing Fence

I really like that these crayons are made from natural materials and are safe enough to eat, although the company does NOT recommend it. just be clean I also liked that they are said to be "durable". One of the crayons broke after falling out of my toddler's hand no more than 15 inches off the ground (not thrown). So they are not as durable as claimed. I was disappointed to see that the three colors looked pretty much the same - both in the picture and on arrival. We have tried them all andโ€ฆ
