Instructions described as installing in 1 gallon jug and later also installing in 1.3 gallon. Conflicting descriptions and does not fit in a 1 gallon jug.

Ordered to replace the one that came with the shard but it has become impossible to clean. This one came with a chip but still works like the original.

If you are looking for an enamelled/glazed weight this is not it. This is earthenware. I'm not against porcelain stoneware, but personally I wouldn't use porcelain stoneware for fermentation. To me, a non-smooth texture is a surface for potential bacteria. I only hike with glass weights. I've tried a water filled bag but it's not heavy enough and I don't trust plastic. I tried a gold rimmed tea saucer weighted down with a zippered water bag, but there was mold on the edges of the food. I don't…
