Why are people complaining about this newspaper? It is ideal for painting (watercolor or acrylic), as well as for markers or other crafts. This is far from ordinary printer paper, very thick.

This is a great paper for the whole family and for my first drawing class. We have used it for watercolor, chalk pastel, oil pastel and ink. Children who apply multiple coats of paint and those who use enough water for fish to swim through also do well with this paper. He forgives easily and is tough enough to be manipulated without going broke. For us, this is a standing order!

I really like these drawing pads. I usually buy them at my local Walmart store (they're cheaper there), but I had a gift card and decided to order it through Amazon. It's really great, the paper isn't flimsy so the color doesn't bleed through. The pages tear easily making it perfect for framing! My 3 year old loves to draw with me and there are many fun sides. Absolutely recommendable =)

Bought this sketchbook and watercolor for our grandson's 4th birthday and he loves it! A few minutes after opening this gift, he wanted to draw! We love encouraging his creativity and the first time he spent around an hour and a half at our kitchen table! The paper is thick enough that the watercolor doesn't show through. I'm so glad I bought this for him! We bought an extra pillow for drawing and coloring for him to have at home, just like Nana and Dad!
