I love Strathmore, but not so much

I love paper and use a variety of Strathmore products for pencil drawings, watercolors and colored pencils. However, I'm not really interested in this particular paper. It reminds me too much of poster board, too thick and too smooth. It may suit your needs/style but it doesn't inspire me to any end, especially with all the other Strathmore product options. I bought this specifically for crayons, but didn't like it at all, and I don't think graphite would work any better.

Not too happy with that.

This is good drawing paper. It has some prongs that add texture to your work. You will see the grit of your pencil. At first I thought this was not normal. It's hard to fix mistakes. But when I tried it again or got more proficient at drawing with graphite, it ended up not being a bad drawing paper. , I can not see the difference between a smooth surface and.
