You can also use printer paper

It's awful, every page rips out when you try to turn it, the glue doesn't hold the pages together, now I have a stack of paper. And the lid literally fell off. Go get a wired sketchbook, that's rubbish.

Pros
  • 70 lb / 114 gsm. m, medium density acid free surface, easily erasable
Cons
  • Very expensive

Good ink absorption

Excellent drawing paper. I use it for calligraphy and (unlike most other papers I've tried, especially poor quality printer paper or art paper) it absorbs and holds ink. Most other papers I've tried bleed when I write with calligraphy ink, but the lines on this paper stay sharp.

Pros
  • Medium weight paper for school drawings.
Cons
  • Expensive

Not suitable for coloring with colored pencils.

The only reason I give this 1 star is because it didn't meet my expectations for my app. I bought this to print coloring pages and color with Prisma colored pencils. The printer I used uses up toner and smudges a bit. When applying the 1st, 2nd, 3rd layers of pencil I could still see the white color on the paper. Trying to erase VERY lightly will also erase the ink. And when you run your finger across the ink, it smears and smears. I'll do a little more research on the right paper I need.

Pros
  • Ideal for pencils, crayons, charcoal and sketch pens. Also suitable for markers, mixed media, soft pastels and oil pastels.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
