Street Guardian SGDCHW SG9663DC Hardwire Review

. I put a SG9663DCPRO in our Odyssey with this kit, in the fuse box at the passenger's feet. Both sides have empty slots, so you don't have to use the touch function - just insert them into the top slot of each port using the included fuses. The ignition was switched on the left side of the fuse box and constant current on the right side.

I bought this cable set for my Viofo A118 dashcam because my old cable set was defective and drained the battery too much. So far I haven't had any problems after installing this kit which was very easy as the fuse taps are pre-installed. I really like that there are several different settings for how much the battery needs to be drained before it turns off the camera. I haven't been able to test this cutoff feature thoroughly, but it seems to be working well so far.

A great addition to the SG9663DCPRO. In my opinion they should have been included with the purchase, but hey. FYI they come with very vague instructions. There really aren't any physical instructions, just an online manual (very vague). I had to look up youtube videos to learn how to install properly (prior to that I was unfamiliar with wiring on the machine). It's really easy if you watch a few videos. I deducted a star because I didn't have proper installation instructions/instructions.

What's not to like? While things can and will improve over time, this StreetGuardian dash cam is well designed for its time. In my opinion the quality and automated operation of this DVR is second to none. Customer service is something everyone can wish for.
