Good product. Feels good. Robust electrode clamp

Robust design, light weight and precise arc control. I've welded about a pound of rod with this thing and love it. Fits very well in a gloved hand, very solid construction inside. Safe purchase!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Interchangeable

This is the best you can buy at this price

SUA bought it gives you bullshit compared to that I show you a picture of the left side is junk. Right SUA FROM AMAZON. That's the monster.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

Poor handle design - Welding and Soldering

As one of the reviewers said, the handle doesn't want to stay in place. I bought it despite another review saying the pen would probably give me problems and it does. There is a screw that just presses against the plastic handle and the screw just doesn't work to hold it securely. The handle is a safety feature and should work. The product is dangerous if dropped. Consider another product

Great price, but not without small flaws.

The Stinger is easy to install and made from quality materials. I would like to see a more secure way to attach the isolating handle to the bronze rod clamp. There is a screw that just slips out of the ID to hold the bushing in place and I imagine the bushing will come loose in the future. Like most things, if I use my welder to weld for a year it works several times. but I recommend you spend $$$ for a better one if you use it daily.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Modern

Good and cheap First use convinces, welds well!

Seems solid. As others have said only the one screw that pops out of the handle was relatively difficult to turn as the hole was oval so it stays in place if it comes loose put some blue thread lock on it. NOT A BIG DEAL at $17 is better than the flimsy plastic of my original which was cheaply made in China. This one seems to be of higher quality even though it comes from China. However, he did not specify whether this is the case. For this price this is excellent value for money. I'm not sure…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Only instructions are missing

There are no instructions in the box. Solid brass and a strong spring that will easily hold a 1/16 inch and larger bar. The holder comes with two small metal accessories and there are no instructions as to their purpose. It occurred to me that the copper foil should help with the connection between the holder and the weld Since the hole is much larger than the weld wire, I made an alloy insert out of a 9/16" diameter aluminum rod. I used it 8, Drilled 5mm to match the electrode set screw and…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
