Easy to install: Van Parts & Accessories

Easy to install make sure you buy this and not the aluminum they don't work as well and when worn will leave a jelly on the bottom of the water heater.

Great quality but expensive

Some reviews said this is a Camco anode bar; However, it is actually a Suburban anode stick. It comes with threads pre-sealed with white pipe thread safety tape.

  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Almost never

thick anode. Do not neglect the prevention of water heating.

Anod. thick anode. Used to donate yourself instead of your RV's water heating. Easy to install as long as you let the hot water cool down and release the pressure. This device comes with Teflon tape already wrapped around the threads.

Pros
  • GOLS certified

Fits perfectly. suitable for sanitary ware

Depending on the mineral composition of your water, these sticks can be used up faster than you think. I change mine every two years. The rod is designed to prevent corrosion and thus protect your expensive water tank. A special connector is usually required for removal/replacement. So if you don't already have one, I recommend buying one. Also, don't forget to turn off the water heater and water. and also relieve any internal pressure, otherwise prepare for a water explosion.

Definitely 5 stars, but "Love" is too much for an anode stick. These anode bars are found in every water heater. They act as a sacrificial stick to protect the heater tank. Harmful particles in the water tend to corrode metal. When the anode rod is used up or removed, these particles attack the inner walls of the heater's steel vessel. You can tell if the rod is exhausted when only bare wire remains on the hex connector. When replacing, also replace the T&P valve. It is a temperature and…

Great item for long term use

I change mine every two years. It will last longer but if I take it out to check it will be easier to replace at that point. It's just not worth checking again. I consider them to be long-term care items. If you drive much longer, the rod will disappear completely and the tank will start to rust. Also, be sure to buy a magnesium anode, an aluminum anode is cheaper but doesn't protect either. Considering the cost of a new water heater, it makes sense to use magnesium rods and avoid aluminum…
