Heating works well on my review.

I've never written a review before, but I feel that this product deserves one just based on my water heat preferences. We were getting about 90F + daytime outdoor temperatures but the pool temperature was still about 70-72F. In one day the pool temperature increased to 80F, unfortunately we had cold temperatures the last couple of days so the pool cooled down, but only to 74F and after another day of 90 degree daytime outdoor temperatures it went back up to 76 degrees. In our area we have a…

Pros
  • The Bubble-side down design helps to retain heat, making your pool water warm and toasty
Cons
  • The cover may not be as effective in preventing water evaporation as other types of pool covers

Good to Great, depending on your need

Update: So this lasted 2 1/2 season. It was fine up to 2 summer.about 1/2 way on the third summer, bubbles started to disintegrate and finally the cover ripped. I did keep the cover on during the day time on 3rd summer which caused algae bloom. Learned that the hard way and should uncover it in the morning from now on. 2nd cover so far and these cover don't seems to make it over 3 years. I use a pool reel and do put them away after swim season.I had 14 mil for my cover before and used it for 3…

  • Safety Products
Cons
  • It may not be as aesthetically pleasing as other types of pool covers

Impressive for 12 months.

We purchased this last September. It immediate contributed to retaining pool warmth overnight. As an example, the weather was stable/same conditions. Our pool had been dropping from 80 degrees at sunset, to 70 degrees at sunrise. With the cover, temps only dropped to 76. We teach swim lessons to infants and the retained warmth (back to 80 degrees by 10am) was essential. It allowed swimming to continue into late October/November. We even jumped in on Thanksgiving (74 degrees). In April, we gained

Pros
  • It's a cost-effective solution to heating your pool, especially compared to traditional heating methods
Cons
  • The cover may not be as effective in reducing energy costs for heating the pool

Did not survive the summer heat

Bought it in May. By August I was finding little bits of the plastic in my skimmer, and before the end of September it had started to just disintegrate. Huge holes all through the cover, purely from UV and heat damage. For a couple months we weren’t even rolling it out because we had temps over 100 and didn’t need to warm the pool. Now I gotta figure out how to throw it away.

Pros
  • It's easy to install and use, even for those who are not handy
Cons
  • It may be prone to developing leaks or tears over time

We love this pool cover for heating the pool, works great to heat pool with very low cost when there is sun. We purchased our first one march 1, 2021. 6/28/2022 We just replaced it because the bubbles were coming off and also because when you pulled on the plastic it would tear. My pool guy that comes once a week said they usually last about a year. Ours lasted 1.3 years. We are in So Cal so lot of summer sun when we don't use the pool. It says that the cover should be removed when temps are 90

Pros
  • It can help to extend your swimming season, allowing you to enjoy your pool for longer periods of time
Cons
  • The cover may not be as effective in reducing chemical use or waste in the pool

Just what I needed for my opinion

I have an odd-shaped pool, so I ordered a rectangular cover. I was planning on cutting to shape, but the cover laid well on the water allowing me to secure the edges that extended onto the deck. The material is very tough. I was afraid that I would burst a few of the bubbles as I walked on the edges, but they were able to withstand all of my 240lbs (238.5lbs but who's counting?)

Pros
  • The cover is made from high-quality, durable materials to last for years
Cons
  • It may be difficult to store or transport when not in use

So far so good! for my opinion

We were trying to use our electric heater to warm the pool (southern AZ) and it just wouldn’t warm higher than 58-60 degrees, even after a week of it on constantly. So I bought this cover to try and within a day our pool was warmed into the 70s! Now, after a couple days it’s about 80 degrees. So it’s definitely working. I just don’t know how long it will last with our harsh Arizona sun, only time will tell.

Pros
  • The clear material allows the sun's rays to penetrate the cover, further increasing the pool water temperature
Cons
  • The cover may not be as resistant to chemicals or chlorine in the pool water

Great cover for the price.

The cover works great. I live on Long Island, NY. We don’t own a pool heater, but we honestly don’t need it during the month of June, July, August, and most of September because of how well this cover works. Our cover lasted for two pool seasons. That averages out to around $85 per year to keep the pool in the mid to high 80s for the summer months. A lot cheaper than running a heater. Two tips:1) Invest in a good cover reel. It makes the task of opening and closing it simple.2) Keep the cover on…

Pros
  • Product is as described. Easy to trim to fit the pool.
Cons
  • It may not be as effective in heating the pool as other solar covers

Heats pool better than expected, MUCH less water evaporation

I bought a cover a little larger than the pool so that I could easily trim to shape and cover most of pool. Laid it out over pool which is not evenly shaped and used box cutter with new blade and the cover was fit to shape in minutes. It was hot outside in the days following install and I was surprised just how hot it got under the cover. The first inch or two of water directly under the cover was actually uncomfortably warm. A little bit of moving around in the pool equalized the water temp…

Pros
  • Really help to retain heat and prevent evaporation.
Cons
  • It may not retain heat as well as other types of pool covers

Hope this one last longer

This new cover replaces the exact same cover from the same company. Did not try to have it replaced with warranty for defective manufacture as all the reviews showed the company generally did not support the warranty guidelines. Our cover had the seam on one side come apart almost the entire length. I will have to admit the bubbles were still in very good shape for a cover that was 29 months old. For me the bubbles on other covers in the past have broken down much quicker. I was able to…

Pros
  • Durability is excellent. Easy to cut and install on my kidney shaped pool
Cons
  • The cover may not fit all types of rectangular swimming pools

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does an excellent job

We have been using it for 9 months now. When i recieved it, I cut it to perfectly fit our pool. It keeps leaves and other stuff (inlcuding frogs) from getting in the pool. But even better - it heats the pool by at least 7-9 degrees. We live in Florida - so the sun is out alot. We run our pump during the day - so the water gets circulated. This past week our water temp was 93 degrees. I would actually want to take it off, but we have frogs that want to spawn every night, so I have to keep it…

Pros
  • The 10x16 foot size is perfect for both in-ground and above-ground rectangular pools
Cons
  • The cover may not be suitable for pools with large or deep areas

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lasted one summer for my opinion

Cover was same as all covers when cutting to fit. Not hard just tedious. We mainly bought the cover to slow water evaporation worked great for that and it did heat the pool up to 86 on hot weeks when the nights stayed warm. Worked great for that purpose. Durability was terrible by the end of summer the seams were tearing and had holes and tears everywhere. I picked it up and my thumb went straight through. I would by another but I would by the cheapest one and toss and the end of summer. I can…

Pros
  • JUMP INTO WARMTH - Show friends and family your bravery by jumping in without the standard toe dip. Enter the swimming pool confidently knowing the Sun2Solar solar cover has kept the water warm just for you. It’s easy to put on and take off allowing more time for showing off.
Cons
  • The cover may not be suitable for pools in areas with limited sunlight

I have had Intex pools for about 10 years. We replace the covers every 2-3 years and I have had some winners and losers over the years. This is super thick, did not have bad creases or spots that were "popped" on arrival. It fit the Intex 16'x32' pool perfectly with some slack to fit on the rolling remover we built. We roll the covers up in the winter and wrap them with a tarp and truss it up like a roast so they are not exposed to the Oregon winter or UV light during the off-season. I highly…

Pros
  • HEAT RETENTION - After everyone has called it a day with wrinkled fingers from too much fun in the sun, make sure to place this solar cover back atop the water. Don’t lose all of that warmth generated throughout the day when the sun sets. Assure your pool’s temperature does not drop too much by protecting it at night through use of a solar blanket.
Cons
  • The cover may be too heavy or cumbersome to handle for some pool owners

PRO - I want to start off by saying this product does do its job. It was easy to cut for my pool size and shape. It kept my pool very warm. That was a quality I wanted. It was a bit difficult to roll up on my own, but with help on the other side it was easy enough. I did not purchase the suggested roller. Maybe that would have helped.CON - It only lasted a few months. The middle of the cover was dissolving and leaving blue pieces all over the bottom of my pool. The last attempt to roll it up…

Pros
  • It's a great investment for any pool owner who wants to make the most of their pool and save money in the process
Cons
  • It may cause damage or wear to swimwear or pool toys due to the bubble-side down design

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Does the job but poor quality control

First, the good: This cover, or one like it, does a great job of keeping the heat in the pool overnight. We used a roller so taking it on and off was easy. The 1200 series was fine. A thicker one would just be heavier. The bad: The seams were never properly aligned. There were wrinkles and gaps and the cover would never lay flat. We used the cover for 2 spring seasons and two fall seasons so a total of about 18 weeks. Between seasons it was stored indoors out of the sun. By the fourth season…

Pros
  • It's lightweight and easy to handle, making it simple to remove and replace as needed
Cons
  • It may be less durable or long-lasting than other types of pool covers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Flexible and nice color

Easy to roll out and cut to shape. The color allows light to pass through and lays flat with small seams. Like it better than my old one.

Pros
  • The cover also helps to reduce water evaporation, which can be a major issue in hot and dry climates
Cons
  • The cover may not be suitable for pools with sharp corners or angles

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does the trick! on my review.

This had the best reviews and was a little less expensive than most. It does generate more heat in the pool. Especially once you get in and stir it up as it really heats the top foot or two of the pool. You have to cut it to size which was easy enough. It also helps eliminate some debris from getting in the pool.

Pros
  • Pools, Hot Tubs & Supplies
Cons
  • The cover may be susceptible to fading or discoloration over time

Revainrating 4 out of 5

seems to be good quality but

quality seems good but.I ordered a 15 x 30 this unit is way bigger at least 16.5 by 31.5 ,I had to do a lot of cutting Parts & Accessories.

Pros
  • Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • It may be more expensive than other types of pool covers on the market

Revainrating 4 out of 5

New cover lays mostly flat with very few bubbles.

We use our pool covers year round on a daily basis, mostly due to hefty water restrictions and fines here in California. They are almost a requirement by the state if you have a pool. Our size cost about $150 and they last about 3 years.

Pros
  • The Sun2Solar Clear solar cover is a popular choice among pool owners, with many satisfied customers
Cons
  • It may be more difficult to adjust or maintain the pool temperature using this cover

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Pool cover: my feedback

Works good for keeping leaves out of the pool. It may be difficult to clean and maintain. Couldn’t really tell a difference if it kept heat in the pool.

Pros
  • The cover is very nice and seems durable. Only time will tell just how durable it is.
Cons
  • It may be difficult to clean and maintain
