It works very well but it also turns off easily if we talk about it and dogs really seem to suffer from the noise so we can only turn it on at night. However, the dogs stopped barking completely after three days (well, nights) and a week after we got it we don't use it anymore.

We bought this to keep our dogs from barking around the house and we have used it twice. Both times our dogs were so traumatized they were scared to death. One of our dogs shook and shook for half an hour after only having an egg on him for a few minutes. We feel terrible about it. They stopped barking, but at what cost? We won't use it again.

Love this unit! I might have had to use it twice. Now all I have to do is threaten my dog with "egg" and he stops barking. I also use it to pull him into the house. I ask him if he wants "eggs" and he comes running. Someone told me about this device and I confess I was very skeptical. My dog barks constantly. I really didn't expect this to work. I tried vibrating collars that worked for several months, then broke down and gave up for a while. A friend recommended this egg to help with the dog barking, but warned me that as long as you carry the egg with you and hold the egg close to his face, it "kinda works". The concept is amazing but our dog seems particularly sensitive to this device. When it's turned on and "triggered" by barking (or other noise), our dog (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) will run to the far corner of the room and then try to dig in the ground. It totally scares him.
