Description of 🚲 Bike Stem 31.8: Riser Extender for Road, Mountain, MTB, BMX - Fit 1.25"/31.8mm Handlebar

β˜… Please confirm your bike handlebar diameter is 31.8mm (1-1/4") before order!!! Otherwise, the item is not suitable for your bike. β˜… The bike stem is sturdy, constructed of high-strength aluminum alloy. Well designed, 17 degree stem with 60/70/80/90/100/110mm length. β˜… Easy to install, just connect up the original front fork. Four bolt bar clamp holds handlebar securely. β˜… Depending on the thickness of your handlebar, you may need to install a shim. Be sure to use glue on threads if any loosen up. β˜… Use the 17 degree stem to achieve a more comfortable riding position, the pain caused by the original setup in shoulders/arms/back had to be corrected. This stem and a riser handlebar did the trick, allow you to sit more upright on bike which is better for your back.

Slightly shorter than advertised but good value

It's about 5mm shorter than my 7 degree rise stem. The size is measured here by the angle. Attached images show 70mm stems at 7, 17 and 35 degrees. The orientation on the back looks wrong just because of the angle.

It didn't break! for handlebars, steerer and stems

After a few months of operation it has climbed some steep rock paths and a few jumps. I weigh 250 kilos and it holds up well. Used in combination with a 3" riser to reduce hunching over. I've gotten too old to climb like that.

Looks great on my wife's cyclocross bike, restored

Restored and painted from a 25 year old Miyata cyclocross bike. New SPD pedals, Ritchey Logic headset, FSA low profile handlebars etc. To keep costs under control I went with this stem and I'm glad I did. It goes well with the black steering wheel and is well finished. Surprisingly cheap. 17 degrees is just the right height for a more relaxed position.
