🔧 Sunex 2690s6 T55 Internal Star Impact Socket - Enhanced 1/2-Inch Drive Execution Review

Listen, this is a real deal. It works. That is hard. That is beautiful! I haven't looked around for prices so I don't know about the cost. By the time I drove back and forth to the nearest parts store I had spent $5 on gas so I probably saved money.

Broke on first use despite shock socket. My latch and my two sockets have lasted longer and aren't even shockproof. I've also tried contacting Sunex on their website for a warranty on this and other sockets, but haven't received a response. If you are doing brake work on Isuzu N series trucks, I do not recommend this socket. I can't handle work.

Fits large Torx screws on Jeep bumpers. Also fits front stabilizer bars and other parts on most jeep models. I used this with my Ingersol Rand Air Strike and it held up on high settings. He also held on to my breaker with a piece of pipe for extra leverage. As with most of my tools, I used it well beyond the intended design specs and it worked well. Good quality tool for the price.

Troubleshooting: Sunex 2690s6 Torx Impact Drill Bit 1/2" T55 Drive solved a tough problem for me. When replacing the timing belt, I was unable to loosen the Torx T55 screw that attaches the cam to the camshaft. This is a necessary step to set the time correctly. Several nozzles from other brands did not cope with this task. The Sunex bit quickly broke the bolt. The end of the bit appears to have a ticker, allowing it to grab the torx screw. Problem solved.

Why GM put T55 bolts on their GM trucks as caliper slide fingers is beyond me. My old HF T55 bit broke on 3 out of 4 screws trying to remove it from my 2500HD. The northeastern states will increase the difficulties almost to the point of buying new calipers. Why not try Sunex with Amazon Next Day Delivery? Of course, this bushing is shockproof and the sliding pin bolts fell out. Needless to say, I replaced them with hex head screws from an auto parts store.

Purchased to remove screws from my 02 Ranger, item arrived as described, have not used it yet paired with my 1/2" breaker. I'm sure it will do the job .done if he can handle bolts on an 18 year old car I think he can handle almost anything Matt from Michigan!Power to break a 6" bolt if he was 18 lol.

This is supposed to be a shock absorber head. I admittedly filmed a very tight cam sprocket bolt/phase shifter on a Ford engine. The tip of the fourth/last screw has broken off. I ended up having to buy a set of torx sockets from Home Depot to put a 1/2" T55 socket in, but had no problem removing the last screw and then reinstalling all 4 screws.
