Sunex 284919 2 Inch Protector Impact Review

I am very happy with this tool. I bought it to remove the Spyder wheels on my Porsche Cayman R. I wanted to make sure I didn't scratch the wheels and that the plastic pad really protects the wheels. The item appears heavy and well made. It fits perfectly in the recess inside the wheel where the eyebolt enters the wheel.

Works well for protecting my painted wheels. It only gets a minus because the "gold" plating is already erased. However, this does not affect the functionality. I like the reliefs in each corner to avoid damaging the corners of the lug nuts. Now I have expensive solid stainless steel nuts and this is very worrying.

The price is reasonable for this head and the head itself is very strong. The only downside is that the plastic mudguard doesn't last very long. The plastic fell off after a few uses and is no longer holding up. It falls off every time, so it's better not to take it off. Other than that, this outlet is great. The last one I bought lasted 9 years of daily use and eventually broke.

I rarely write reviews but would like to give it a thumbs up. I know some people were expecting a set, but (a) it doesn't say "kit" and (b) were you really expecting a full set for that price? I torqued them all with a 120 ft-lb CDI torque wrench, which is fairly large and left only a few small dents in the socket. I think it will last a very long time if you don't abuse it (you have to tighten those bolts to spec btw). It fits my two Porsches and makes them look good.
