Description of SunFounder ATmega2560 16AU Board Compatible Arduino

The mega 2560 R3 Board is 100% compatible with Arduino. Powered via the USB connection or with an external power supply. The power source is selected automatically. The ATmega2560-16au has 256 KB of flash memory for storing code (of which 8 KB is used for the bootloader), 8 KB of SRAM and 4 KB of EEPROM (which can be read and written with the EEPROM library). Comes preburned with a bootloader that allows you to upload new code to it without the use of an external hardware programmer. It communicates using the original STK500 protocol (reference, C header files). This version is optimized in the original version, both to ensure consistent and compatible with the original, but also easy to use.SunFounder has always been a reliable brand, if you have any problems with the mega2560 board you received. We will resend one to you for free in time.

Not bad, but there was a problem

The board works fine. The bootloader was not installed. Although this is not a problem. Easy installation with USBasp. Be sure to buy one that supports a 6-pin connection. There are many to buy here. The only real issue I had was the onboard 5v regulator punched a hole in the side. This seems to be a common problem with cheap boards used with RAMPS for 3D printers from what you've read online. I unsoldered the ESC and powered it from the USB connector, not the external power connector or the…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Be careful I think Sunfounder was a reliable brand, the board I received had the wrong components on the board. Instead of a 5V regulator it was actually made with a 3.3V regulator which is insufficient for many projects including mine. I agreed with them when in doubt and asked for a replacement which they happily accepted only to find the replacement board had the same issue. They refunded me the fee but it was very frustrating and my project was delayed a few weeks. When you buy them, check…

You will need a Dremel

This case was purchased for a real Arduino Mega 2560 (latest model). Wanted a case that is smooth, transparent, yet strong and capable. When I received my Arduino I found that the case didn't fit at all. I have found that the notches above the digital and analog contact connectors prevent the case from mating. Using a dremel I cut out the notches (pictured). After trying to assemble it again, the case still didn't fit. I found that the DC input connector was misaligned with the front panel…

Difficult to assemble but worth it

I bought this to protect my Elegoo Mega 2560 R3 Arduino which came in the most complete Elegoo starter kit which I also bought through Revain. It has a good solid construction and most importantly the board doesn't slide around in the case. I particularly like the inclusion of a reset button, where the access holes line up perfectly with the pins so you still have access to all the components without having to take them apart or tweak them. The only downside is that it's not a single piece, but

This case also works great with keyestudio mega 2560 r3. r

I asked if it would fit, I got the answer that it didn't fit, that it wasn't the right size. As far as I could tell it looked exactly the same, so I ordered it and it really fits the Keyestudio perfectly. Very easy to assemble. Took about 5 minutes Just make sure you 1) put the bottom screws, bottom plate and posts in FIRST and not in the order in the instructions. And when you put the top on, the little piece of plastic that is the liner likes to fall out. You can fix this by putting a piece…

Great case for the price

My RobotDyn Mega 2560 clone fits this case perfectly, however the reset button on the circuit board is not in the same place as the reset button on the case. This is normal because once you've added a shield to the board, you still can't reach the reset buttons no matter where they are. It wasn't until I received my Mega 2560 board that I didn't realize it didn't have mounting holes so a case like this was needed. There are grommets on the case for attaching to something else, so this is a…
