I saved $300! suitable for sport

really good quality! Brought me back to my 70's Red Swan Beach Cruiser. My daughter's steering wheel is badly rusted from the weather. It was the perfect solution. Looks like a new bike! I'm very glad I bought a new one!

Comfortable as hell!

Foam grips are incredibly comfortable. I'll probably buy more because I put them on whatever I can find in my garage. So far I've used them on lawnmower handlebars, a cart I use for gardening and a jack. Of course I assume they would fit bike grips as well.

It's hard for me to judge.

I have occasional wrist pain and bought this based on the high reviews. I found it soft and soft, didn't feel good in my hands. Difficult to remove by sliding but easy to cut and tear. Switched to the SQLab 711 handles. I'm rating it 4 stars just to keep the current rating but to be honest for me because it didn't work it would be 2-3.

Pros
  • Excellent overall

  • Not the best

Nice and cozy! in grips

UPDATE: It is not very pleasant to write this, but before I used them for the first time, one of the grips broke! That's why I swapped them first. Will have to downgrade. Exactly what I was looking for. They are exactly the same as on the bike. I've heard horror stories about how they got on the bike. I googled and used the air compressor method and they went right away without much hassle. Trim them and they will look amazing!

Pros
  • Easy installation

  • Some difficulties

Alter Razzle Dazzle

I am new to cycling and bought these with handlebar tips for added comfort. It was great to have those comfortable handles, the soapy water method of sliding over them worked like a charm. For the end of the pole I attached one of the long foam sponges, cut off about half of it and used the other half for the other side. It's definitely a good idea to wait until the grips are dry and then you're good to go. I actually have a second tube to replace the first set when needed! This is a greatโ€ฆ

I recently converted my road bike to a touring bike. I replaced the handlebars with a slightly curved XLC mountain bike handlebar, 50mm, 630mm, 25.4, black, replaced the brakes and installed the Shimano EF-51 shifter/brake lever combo (3x7-speed). added new Schwinn brake cables and fixed derailleur cable kit, black, and added Profile Design boxer bar end (black). This set of foam grips added a nice finishing touch to my project. I particularly like the contoured handles and the long lengths ofโ€ฆ

Versatile and comfortable.

I ended up splitting the kit into 2 bikes - the standard mountain bike grips and the long handlebar grips that I use on my commuter bike. They also work great on butterfly and cruiser handlebars. They slipped right in and then dried in place. They are so tight on both bikes that I have to cut them off. No problem with the racing bar ends (which are Origin8 snap-on bar ends) as I don't have to remove them. However, those on a mountain bike may need to be removed to service the derailleurs andโ€ฆ

The soft foam grips you've come to expect from a cruiser

I bought this set of cruiser foam grips to replace or better install my Giant Beach Cruiser. The old handles were completely chewed, torn or weathered. These grips were easy to install after spraying a little Windex on the bars. I also added some of the inside of the handle. I was then able to slide the long section down the bar about 3 inches from the bar. This left enough room to attach the grips to the rest of the handlebars. I was able to complete the installation by adding end caps whichโ€ฆ
