Makes working with camshafts and parts easier

I usually assemble things to do what this tool does and it takes time. This tool was very easy to use for removing and installing cams. I'm a home mechanic and probably won't use it much, but wow what a time saver!

Great tool at a great price

Worked great to replace a broken timing belt and water pump on an '06 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4 liter engine. Removing and tightening the camshaft sprockets is a breeze. I recommend this tool, it seems to be of good quality and does the job.

Tool fails on first use

Works on 99 4runner SR5 v6. I know the torque specs on this one are rated at around 95 ft-lbs. and usually have a higher torque. The metal used is cheap metal. This may work on a vehicle with less torque on the camshafts. it just didn't work for me.

Necessary! on camshafts

Don't work harder, work smarter! The product worked wonders. Used this to repair a gear train on a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine. Then I said dude I'll never use that again. 2 weeks later I used it to hold the hitch on a GY6 buggy while tightening the nut. Then next week the flywheel on the BBS. I wonder why I've never bought it before.

Buy it when you change the timing belt

This tool saves time. This allows you to hold the cam so that you actually get the torque reading. It also helps keep everything steady while you align the timing marks when installing the timing belt. Positioning the instrument so that you have room can take some time, but it's worth the slight inconvenience.
