Great item - parts and components

I am restoring an old Schwinn for my wife, this part worked great on the new wheels, needed very little adjustment and it hit the road. Thanks for the relief.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Noisy after about 500 miles

After 2 months of driving about 500 miles it started making clicking noises. Not sure if it will last 1000 miles before the part breaks.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Perfect replacement for my 1970 Motobecane

This was the perfect replacement for my 1974 Motobecane restoration. What comes is not what is pictured - instead you get the correct 5th gear in silver. Which is perfect for my needs.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Almost OK

Very happy with this one

Used it to replace the freewheel on an old bike. Was glad to find a replacement online and I think the price was good: $18. Works well. The old bike runs fine with the new freewheel and chain.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some cons

Cheap ratchet

Loose clutch began to splinter after 50 minutes of mostly flat riding. With a quick test ride and then a few more flat rides, I checked the reverse gears to make sure everything was fine. The freewheeling gears feel cheap as they have significant chipping after a very light ride. Maybe a manufacturer error, I'm not sure. In any case, it will be returned.

Pros
  • High score for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing

better than the sunlite ratchet

I used these to replace a 5 speed ratchet I bought at my local bike shop to replace the original ratchet on my bike that was stuck (it became not turned). The freehub I bought at the bike shop was Sunlite, they didn't have any other brand, it slipped when I was in top gear no matter what derailleur setting I set, I even changed the chain a week later. When I removed the Sunlite freehub to replace it, I noticed that the teeth on the top cog were worn out. After switching to the Sunrace ratchet I
